How we decide a discount is worth featuring
Not every percentage-off badge deserves attention. A useful deals site needs a filter, otherwise the homepage turns into noise.
For this project, the baseline is:
- a product has to belong to a category the site actually covers
- the discount has to be understandable in context, not just eye-catching
- the product should have a clear use case for the person browsing that category
- the page needs a short explanation of why the item matters
That approach makes the site feel more like a recommendation brand than a feed of random links. Even before live retailer integrations are connected, this editorial layer is what gives the project credibility.
